Port Louis, a charming little town with its citadel and streets brimming with history, is part of a Brittany-wide "Cities of Art" network. On the left bank of the Blavet, opposite the Port of Lorient, the town watches over the bay. Visit the museums in the citadel

(the Musée de la Marine and the Musée de la Compagnie des Indes), stroll along the Lohic promenade, take part in a range of nautical activities, or relax on the south-facing sandy beach opposite Groix Island (with car park, children's play area, showers and rest rooms).
